The smell of malt is in the air and every Viennese knows the term “16-er Blech”. Hardly any other company shapes the identity of a district as strongly as the Ottakringer Brewery in the sixteenth district. It is one of the few large breweries to have survived in a densely populated urban area and to have grown with the city.
